Frequently asked questions

Why should I join?
NJHS recognizes and honors your academic hard work. It is the first step towards high school and college honor societies. It looks great on a resume or application.
Once I join do I have to continue my activities and sports?
Yes, this area will be reviewed at the beginning of the school year and after the second marking period.
Why will we be having monthly meetings?
The purpose of monthly meeting will be to plan service activities and projects throughout the school year. If you miss two meetings without a letter of explanation you will be asked to leave the NJHS.
How is my average calculated?
Add all of your first and second marking period grades together including gym and special areas and divide the total of your scores by the number of grades listed on your report card.
