          Seventh graders, you are now on your way to eighth grade.  You are going to be the oldest students in CES.  Remember that you are now the role models for the younger students.  They look up to you, so keep that in mind as you finish your final year here.  Make us proud.  Enjoy all that the future holds for you.  Strive for more than you feel comfortable with, and you will not be disappointed.  My hope is that you have developed an appreciation for reading, and realized that a good book can be a form of entertainment.  Keep reading. 

          Incoming seventh graders, I am excited and eager to meet you in September.  I’m sure you are all well prepared to meet the challenges of seventh grade.  Keep your skills fresh by reading at least one book of your choice this summer.  We will be reading lots of books this year.  My hope is that I will inspire you to want to read on your own free time as a form on enjoyment.  Enjoy your summer.  Read a good book.  I will see you in September.
